Jessica and Ben were so awesome to shoot with during our engagement session. They were playful and goofy while we shot and it really gave me the chance to catch some narrative portraits… these portraits share Jessica and Ben’s intimate humor. I met Jessica and Ben amidst this scattered weather we have had lately, and the finicky, nearly raining weather really offered us some great light. We started the session off at Primrose Cottage (the site for their Fall 2009 wedding) with the first set of outfits, including the perfect solid red dress. I really enjoyed working with details in the bright, contrasty light… I played with hands, rings and shadows. When we relocated to the Roswell Mill, they changed into something more casual and we shot into the sunset, capturing a few images right at dusk.
